The characters in the movie never use the same words twice for the saying, a practice that reflects the reality of oral transmission of sayings at any time. Lift up a rock, you will find me there" combined with phrases from Thomas’ saying 3 and Acts 7:48. In that movie we repeatedly hear the Gospel of Thomas’ saying 77: "Split wood, I am there. This, in turn, seems to have inspired the Hollywood movie Stigmata (2001), which has to do with an ancient Gospel of Thomas manuscript, but changes the setting of its discovery from Peru to Brazil. ![]() The Celestine Prophecy (1994), an enormously popular book, centered on a newly discovered collection of Aramaic sayings found in Mayan ruins deep in the jungle of Peru. ![]() The mega-bestseller The Da Vinci Code (2003) features a hidden cache of unorthodox Christian texts buried along with Mary Magdalene, one that is sought by all the novel’s characters. Here we are in the early twenty-first century amidst an upsurge of interest in secret gospels. ![]() ![]() However, it can be seen as a sequel to Persona 5 Royal but there is no mention of any of the characters specific to Royal or the event of the third semester but one can understand the story of Strikers regardless if you played the original Persona 5 or Royal. Persona 5 Strikers is technically a direct sequel to the story of the original Persona 5. ![]() ![]() The story also introduces two new characters a sentient AI called Sophia and the police officer Zenkichi who will help in the search to find out why the Metaverse is back. The Phantom Thieves are needed once again to stop people’s desires from being stolen and finding out who is creating the Jails. However, this code word ends up transporting Joker, Morgan, and Ryuji into a Jail that is in the Metaverse where Alice’s Shadow is stealing peoples desires. During this prep time Joker meets Alice Hiiragri, an up and coming idol, who gives him a code word to use in EMMA for an event she is hosting. ![]() They are getting together for a camping trip during summer break and while prepping for the trip use the new app EMMA to find everything they need. The story once again follows Joker and the rest of the cast four months after the end of Persona 5. Persona 5 Strikers is an action RPG that takes the hack and slash style of the Dynasty Warriors franchise and combines it with Persona’s JRPG style. ![]() ![]() ![]() A book that takes the darkness – and a very real darkness at that, as Seraphina’s Lament is inspired by Holodomor – and finds beauty in all the broken bits. This is one of those books that no matter how you choose to define grimdark (and I am not stepping into that debate here) falls within those boundaries. Since then I have lost track of the number of times that I have reread this book, and each and every time I fall in love with it all over again. Perhaps I’m just not the right audience for short nonfiction essays. I found myself losing interest in the collection and my mind wandered to other books I wanted to read every time I sat down with this book. Despite this collection being a little over 150 pages, it took me ten days to read. There were, however, some instances where the comparisons between Nezhukumatathil’s life and the wildlife seemed a little tenuous, and some of the entries seemed to lack direction while other entries vibrated with meaning, power, and true connection. ![]() Pairing informational facts about animals with personal anecdotes about one’s life is bound to be interesting to read about, and for the most part, I enjoyed this book. I read a digital copy of this book, though, so I’m not sure if I got to appreciate the full extent of the illustrations. The illustrations in this small book are what drew me to it.
